Details
When the conditions are moist to monsoon you need a chain lube that's going to stay put and keep working. Chain Juice Wet is that lube. It has been thoroughly tested through 3 British summers so far (so Juice Lubes know it works in hideous conditions) and happily keeps rust and corrosion at bay whilst at the same time remaining firmly in place on the chain.
The formulation of Chain Juice Wet (and all other Juice Lubes chain oils) includes extreme pressure additives that allow it to keep lubricating even under extreme loads - think of actual forces you are putting through a bike chain when you are trying your hardest? To keep the chain running smoothly, the lubricant has to maintain its structural integrity on a molecular level when being crushed between the pins and plates due to the pulling force you are exerting by turning the cranks. This is a very small area of actual contact and since pressure is calculated by dividing the force of something by the area over which it is acting. . . Well, you can see you end up with a big number!
The final ingredients in the mix are rust and corrosion inhibitors, an anti-fling additive and a chunk of waterproofing to keep it all in place. Don't be fooled that Chain Juice Wet is like any old thick, wet lube just because it seems a similar consistency or colour - it's not! As with all Juice Lubes products the devil is in the details, which in Juice Lubes' care are in the quality of the additives and base oils that they use.
NOTE: Don't use in dusty conditions - your chain will quickly attract light debris and turn into a big grinding mess.
Directions: For top performance, apply to a degreased chain and dry chain. For this you should use Dirt Juice Super Gnarl with The Dirty Little Scrubber chain cleaning tool, before rinsing the chain with fresh water and allowing to dry for as long as is practical.
