I did a slightly different fitting - I enlarged the slots in the hook so they fitted the steel mount. But I used the old Karrimor screws too, because the new ones are countersunk which isn't perfect on the rail.

These hooks have proved an excellent replacement for the original snap hooks on my ancient but otherwise still fully usable Karrimor Iberian panniers.
The only modification necessary to the original Karrimor suspension strip was to create a small piece of plastic 2.8mm x 8mm x 12mm for each fixing point, through which a 5mm diameter hole was drilled. The R&K hooks then fitted perfectly using the original Karrimor fixing screws.

I recommend this product

I have replaced these hooks after at least 15 years of (mostly) daily use. The old ones still work, only the inserts are a little worn and the clicking tabs on the C-clips snapped off years ago.
