From the Carradice Originals range the Lowsaddle Longflap saddlebag is made from 100% waterproof 18oz Cotton Duck & is most suitable for bikes with limited clearance between saddle & mudguard. Available in two colours, the Lowsaddle Longflap attaches to the saddle loops or bag attachment via 3 leather straps supplied. The buckles & fastenings are all metal whilst the straps are made from chromed leather, which means they keep their strength & looks no matter what weather & conditions they face. All Carradice Originals bags come with a lifetime guarantee against defective materials & workmanship.

Consstraps are stiff when new, a bit fiddly to buckle compartments

ProsEasy fit, lots of storage, looks great

Delivered to OH, USA, in about a week! Pay a little on shipping, but save on VAT. Works for me.

Bought the low-saddle long-flap, as I figured it's a bit more versatile for my family, can go on my bike, wife's bike (less seat to tire clearance), without issue. I can haul shoes and a change of clothes, along with my lunch for work commutes.

Very well constructed, attractive. Was on the fence re. colour, but glad I went with the green and tan. The green is much deeper, darker, than it appears on my computer screen. The leather straps are a bit stiff, makes for awkward buckling, but I think they'll break-in just fine.

Excellent bag, quality and design are top-notch.
After 30 years of riding too much with rucsacs or messenger bags, I finally saw reason and put this on my road bike.

ProsRobust construction, quality materials

I was looking for a saddlebag that allowed enough storage for an overnight stop or two yet still looked neat on my Van Nichoas Yukon. I have recently completed a couple of weekend trips and found it to be ideal providing enough space for evening clothing, a pair of soft shoes and spare cycle shorts, jacket and the usual necessities such as tubes and tools. With the Bagman Support it was very stable on the bike and easily detachable. A great quality product, timeless classic. If you are looking for a day saddlebag this is probably a little on the large size.
