ConsCan be fiddly changing the height once the bracket is installed

ProsEasy to fit, gives back the area lost by the bag mount

Straight forward to put onto the mount (read the instructions for orientation) nice position for the GPS/HRM not convinced about mounting lights for illuminating the road ahead as opposed to beeing seen

Unfortunately I had to return these because I had an earlier model of bar bag than they were made for. I was disappointed as it had seemed such a good idea.

ConsCould be more flexible and longer

ProsMade to fit the Ortleib bay bag

They are a really nicely designed extra for the Ortleib handlebar bag. They go up better than down, but work both ways. I originally bought these to fix an Exposure Maxx-D light to. For this they don't quite work. If you go down - my preference, then the light is too long and hits the head tube. If it goes over the bag a lot of the light does not cast far enough ahead of the bag. So not very successful. But with other lights I have achieved the effect I wanted.

Can I use this to mount lights under a 7l or 8.5l Ortlieb bag

Hi, thanks for the info that the "useful" length of the bar is 16cm long, but is this long enough to mount a light under a 8.5 litre ultimate six bag - or failing that, a 7 litre bag Thanks

Yes, the supports are adjustable in height & allow simultaneous use of a battery light & an Ultimate handlebar bag below or above the bag itself.

Length of bar?

Can you tell me how long the bar on these is? I need to know how far *below* a bar bag they extend.

Hi,

When measured from the centre of the final mounting hole (so the centre of the bar bag bracket) to the centre of the computer mount this bar is 160mm in length.
