Details
Stainless steel fenders, durable, unaltered by road salt and offering excellent mud and rain protection. They are ideal fenders for touring and city bicycles.
The front fender is shorter (150mm extension ahead of the fork crown hole). Fits tires from 650B x 28 to 37 (for 40mm) and 26 x 1.75 / 650B x 37 to 44 (for 50mm). Delivered with complete hardware to connect the rear fender to brake bridge with no threaded boss.
NOTE: The L-bracket (219KIT103) is not included.
We highly recommend using a second, vertical stay on the rear guard to reduce "bouncing".

Mudguards for 1939 Raleigh 'Sports'
By Jon

Bike has Dunlop 26 x 1¼" EA1 rims (wheel dia 610mm), shod with 32-597 tyres (wheel dia 660mm with tyres fitted). 40mm mudguard width is fine but what size/dia mudguard would fit (if any)?
Thank you.
Thank you.
SJS Customer Service:
because these are steel there will be no flexibility in the diameter, i suggest the SKS Chromoplastic Mudguard Set - 700c - Silver in 45mm (SJS Cycles part number : 39809W45) your rims are 597, these are designed for 622 rims which is little difference. RT
Is this suitable for 37mm tyres

I know the data sheet says up to 37mm tyres, but in your experience is this correct given that this is at the top end of the range.
thanks

Hi there,
You will be very lucky to fit anything bigger than 37mm and not have rubbing on the tyre.
Thanks
