SKS VeloFlexx 65 Mudguard Set - 26" & 27.5" - Black

I fitted these mudguards to a 26" MTB. Unlike the other reviewer Andy I found these fit correctly around the front fork/shock and didn't need and adaptation. I did adapt the back, cable-tying it to the seatstay bridge instead of using the big ugly bridge it came with (although this would be useful for frames without a seatstay bridge). They work well and stay in place without sliding or rattling, and seem easy enough to remove should the need arise. The only problem I have with them is the front one in particular is far too short and doesn't keep water off the pedals/cranks/your shoes. I fitted an SKS Long Mudflap at the front (required drilling) which solved the problem. The rear guard is also quite short and will throw water/muck up at the person riding behind you.

I fitted these to a 27.5 Kona mtb.
2.35 tyres, the front guard could only fit on top of the fork brace, does not protect fork seals but it was easy to make a fork shield from some plastic packaging card, folded over top of mudguard and fixed in place with plastic ties.
Frame has seat stay bridge with M5 thread so I poked a hole through the mudguard and screw it in place. System is flexible enough to be adapted somehow to most bikes and kept the mud off me very effectively.
