ConsI may not be back again for this same thing again, SJS!
ProsLook beautiful
Replacing bolts on the headset of my Raven Mk.2, look a lot better than the now (rather rusty) bolts they came with - sorry Thorn's!

ProsIdeal quantity, good range of lengths
As Fast Al says ... saves buying a single bolt or large packs. 10 is an ideal quantity. Purchased the M6 12mm length to replace all non-stainless bolts on a Thorn rear rack. The old bolts were showing signs of rust after a long costal tour and winter cycling on salted roads.

ProsValue
These work well in securing the shimano crank arms, and 10 for the price of approx 50p each is a bargain when Shimano charge approx. £3 for 1, and they work just the same. You can buy them cheaper elsewhere if you buy in bags of 100 but really, do you need that many! What I like about SJS is they do a lot of the smaller components that others just don't bother with, and the service is always great and reliable thank you.

Can i use these to replace the bolts that fix Shimano vbrakes to the frame? Specifically old m739 vbrakes. If not do you know which is correct? Thanks again
NO, Shimano recommends using only link-fixing bolts.

Seat post bolt for Thorn Raven Sport Tour 2004 frame?
By
21 Aug 2020
Is this bolt (M6 20mm socket cap) a suitable replacement for the seat post bolt on a Thorn Raven Sport Tour 2004 frame, please?
Bolt goes into a frame braze-on. It needs to be correct thread, length, strength and to have socket cap small enough to fit into a recess in the braze-on.
There has never been any variation of clamp bolt size on Thorn sport bikes, the M6 x 20mm bolts # 1840L20 will be perfect.
Are these suitable to use with Problem Solver Sheldon Nuts
By
12 Mar 2020
I have a pair of Sheldon Nuts (10mm & 13mm type) and need bolts to attach fenders. Will these work? Can you recommend a length?
Yes, these would be suitable, the length depends on your use.

Bolt Tensile Strenght
By
15 Nov 2015
Could you tell me what the tensile strength rating of the 40mm bolts is? This will be indicated by a property class rating stamped on the head of the and will be a 50, 70 or 80. Thanks
Hi,

The value stamped onto the 40mm versions of these bolts is 70.

Thanks.
Does The Listed Length Include The Cap?
By
20 Jul 2014
Hi, slightly stupid question but I'm wondering if I buy 50 mm bolts whether I get 50 mm of + 5 mm of cap or 45 mm of bolt + 5 mm of cap. Cheers!
Hi,

The listed length does not include the length of the cap, they are measured from the end of the thread to the underside of the cap.

Thanks.
