ConsNothing that I can think of
ProsRubber blocks, easy maintinance, nice retro look
I bought these to replace the stock pedals on my Pashley roadster. They were easy to fit and they suit the bike better than the stock pedals. I have had no problems with them they grip well on all my shoes
Very Good

Comes in a nice box with fitting instructions in English and Japanese. Shaft ends are stamped 'L' or 'R' and one has a knurled boss so it's very easy to tell them apart. Reflectors are up to UK standard. Grips are real rubber rather than harder plastic. Generally feel well made. Comfortable in use. These use ball bearings so they have to be 'run in' for a bit to be fully free. That also means you can adjust the bearing cones and service them fully so potentially they'll last a very long time. Defintiely raised the spiritual tone of my bicycle by fitting some proper mamachari pedals.

ProsWell made and spin lovely
Bought these for 1980 Raleigh to replace some nasty plastic ones I'd bought for it (not from SJS). These are well made, look nice and shiny and have nice 'spinny' bearings. They are made of proper rubber stuff too. Recommend for vintage 3 speed etc.

ConsA little heavy but tolerable
ProsWell made and functional
Dutch style utilitarian pedals made for 'everyday' use in normal footware. The only downside I could find was they are quite heavy but then again if you wanted a lightweight bike for cruising around town you probably wouldn't be putting these on your everyday bike. Very well made and built like they will last donkey's years or at least the lifetime of a steel framed bike.

Hi there, is it possible to get replacement rubber block parts for these pedals?

Mine are starting to break up from wear and use. As these pedals are quite good in the body & bearings I'd rather not have to replace the whole pedal.
i have checked the MKS website and these rubbers are not available as spares. SK 15/04/24
Are these 1/2 inch axle thread please?

Is the price for a pair?

Stupid question, but the details don’t make it clear whether these are priced as a pair or singly! Thanks.
Hi, yes this is for a pair. Thanks
Do they spin freely ie bearings very good?

Bought some Raleigh pedals to restore my 1980 Raleigh but bearings quite tight despite oil etc. Originals will spin round several times if flicked round. Think I try yours if spin freely.
Hi there,

These run on loose ball bearings so they are not as smooth as a sealed option, but they are fairly good quality.

Thanks
