ProsLight, well priced, ERD correct, rim brake compatible
I have been using a pair of these rims on disc hubs for several months with the 32mm Hutchinson Confrérie de 650B tyres which fit very nicely They built up well and are lasting very well in spite of rolling over extensive roadworks all the time Reasonably priced rim brake compatible rims in 32h are very difficult to find in France!

Looking for mtb wheelset

Hi I'm looking to buy some wheel and seen you have thorn 27.5 / 650b rims in black . I have a pair of shimano 105 5800 hubs to go on them if I get made up be a local bike shop . Will the fit 26" mountain bike frame if so what size tyres would fit . Just wondering if you can help thanks
SJS Customer Service:
105 hubs are normally 130mm OLN most MTB's used to be 135mm, the clearance for bigger wheels/tyres depends on the actual bike model, you'll have to measure it to decide. RT

Are these rims suitable for touring and carrying some load in addition to the rider and bike?
By Jose

I suppose they are because they are Thorn. However, I am doubting because they are relatively lightweight (less than 500g). I mean, lightweight is good. I will use a trailer to carry most of the load so I do not need an amazingly strong rims but I do want something sturdy.
SJS Customer Service:
Hi there,
These look as though they will be fine with what you want to use them for.
Thanks.
