Looking for reliable rim tape? Continental's special fabric high pressure tapes can be used to 220 psi and are extremely lightweight and long lasting, ideal for both professional riders and serious enthusiasts.

There is no 'grain' in these rim tapes, elminating the chances of cracks forming after extended use. Continental's Easy Tape system is now belted meaning one Easy Tape per size of wheel / width of rim. Generally, most race bikes will need a 16 mm high pressure tape whilst most MTB wheels will need the 20-559 option.

ProsSecure , long lasting and good quality.

Good tight fit. It may be tough to get on and off but at least it stays in place and doesn't end up sliding about. This is slightly thinner than the cotton stuff and so I use it on rims which present difficulties for fitting tyres.

ConsNot easy to fit unless you know how

ProsStrong and reliable

Tight and strong fibres not very stretchy.

Had to pull hard to get them over the rim onto my 700C wheel - almost could not. Then when they snapped on they were partly folded over. Which I had to sort out.

Later read I could have warmed them up and put a loop of string around them first.

I doubt I will get them off again without damaging them.

Durable - they can stay there a long time fine.

These are for use with innertubes and not a tubeless system, however they can be used on and with tubeless tyres and rims but not as a tubeless system. SK 04/04/24

Does this 700 one work with a 28-630 tyre on a 27 1/4 wheel?

Hi,

The only rim tape we have suitable for 27" (630) rims is the Jante Velox self adhesive tape as you can make it as long or as short as you need too. These are SJSC part 761.
