The third important factor - besides tube and tyre - for puncture protection. The rim tape effectively protects the tube against mechanical damage, for example from spoke heads and metal burrs around the spoke holes.

ConsRough finush ro join that could rubba hole in the inner tube
Prosgood material
Heat pressed join leaves proud edge that could abrade inner tube. Needed to be sliced flat with a sharp knife.

ProsPre sized,snug fit,good price.
If this stuff is as good as I think it is,I can't see the point in tape.
Easy to fit and reassuringly good quality as you'd expect from schwalbe.no chance of this slipping or leaving adhesive all over the rims like tape can.
