Not many seatposts available in 26.6mm and in silver so went for the Ergotec model. Surprisingly good quality for the price. Bear in mind that if youre looking to set at the minimum height, the saddle attachment itelf on this one adds several cm to the height.

ProsDoes the job for not much money

As others have said I was not expecting much at this price but was very pleasantly surprised. It makes you wonderhow some seat posts can cost many times more.

Well finished and looks good. The saddle clamp is strong and easilly adjustable with an alan key.

Proslight in weight for material, accurate tolerances.

Looks good on my steel vintage cycle. Logos on either side enough not to be too noticed. Not tested post yet on writing this review, but expect it to be satisfactory.

Fitted to old steel mtb frame without any problems. Diameter was accurate and it appears well made. Long term corrosion resistance remains to be seen, however, on an old bike who is to worry.

How many degrees adjustment to the angle of the saddle does the clamp allow, please?

Planning to replace the seatpost on a 1990's Raleigh which I am renovating and the original clamp on it is fixed, leaving the seat pointing upwards. Good old Raleigh parts bin engineering!

Thank you for your enquiry, we have no way of measuring but it has a lot of adjustment so should suit most bikes.

Is the pitch of the seat post fixed on this product or can the angle be adjusted?

Hi

Thank you for your enquiry, when the seatpost bolt is loosened the clamp can be moved forwards & backwards slight which will alter the angle of the saddle. I hope this helps.
