Details

Seat post with adjustable elastomer suspension. The elastomer spring ensures uniform response in a temperature range of -20 to 80 degrees celcius with a travel of 45mm and a long service life without maintenance work. Individual adjustment of the spring strength by way of integrated adjusting screw. Made of 6061 T6 aluminium. TUV checked. For a rider weight between 85kg and 110kg.

ProsSmooth, good price

Bought for the back of our tandem. Much better when the captain forgets to call out bumps. Smooth action, no noise. For reference correct seatpost diameter for a 1990s dawes super galaxy is 27.0mm.

ConsA bit noisy in operation

ProsWorks well

No problem fitting this, although it has the usual problem of changing the set seat angle when tightening - a biut of trial and error involved. In use, it squeaks quietly, which led me to believe that I had a trasnmission problem. No nformation is given about safe lubricants, so I'm putting up with it.

Prosmote comfortable riding

I was recommended this product after experiencing saddle soreness with a new saddle. So far I have only completed 3 60km ish rides but already there is a difference. It is still early days but it does seem a worthwhile purchase

Hi
The description stated for riders between 85kg and 110kg. I am just 85 kg so that should be ok? I want to use this on a hybrid bike just to smooth out bumps etc. Finally does the post have an offset or is it zero offset not sure from the images and not mentioned in description. Thanks

You are going to feel some benefit, there is no issue with being lighter, you just wont get quite as much response from the post.

This is offset.
