New saddle

I'm looking for a new saddle for my Thorn Nomad. Can you make a few suggestions for a comfy men's saddle for touring on and a bit off-road.

The seat post on my c. 2005 Thorn Nomad has been damaged and I think this is the equivalent replacement (27.0 mm). Please confirm this as equivalent in terms of quality, and can you confirm depth of post till max height mark so I can check 350mm and not 400mm ok.
