Not as good as it could be

Bought it in May 2023. Fitted to my Thorn Mercury with no problem. After about 6 months the top cap worked loose, so when I lifted the bike by gripping the top tube and the seat. the seat came away in my hand, and the internal components ended up on the ground in a heap. I managed to reassemble them after a bit of trial and error, but ever since the top cap works loose and graphite grease is leaking onto the telescopic part of the post. I have now refitted the fixed seat post.
Looked just the job - until I tried fitting it...

ConsInsufficient tilt adjustment.
ProsNice suspension (75kg rider). Screw adjusable.
NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

My Cube touring E-bike has no set-back (offset) on its suspension seat post. So this seemed just the job.

However the tilt adjustment was all forward and nothing backwards.I couldn't get the saddle level.

Adjustment is by a serrated clamp. One more serration would do it, so I filed out the slots. This gave me a level saddle but obviously at the expense of any warranty.

Casting flash around the back of the bolt slots was above the serrations - an obvious safety issue.

The answered question says 25mm offset. I measured 15mm.

If you like to get the saddle nose sloping up a little (some do, I don't), forget it.

If you don't want to file casting flash off, have a look to see what yours is like and be prepared to send it back.
