Wondering on how far out ( upwards) this post goes before it goes back?
I generally only have around 2cm of the post out ( basically at the lowest position).

Yes the saddle can be tilted forwards, the absolute angle we cannot say as it will depend on the frame angles. SK 22/05/23

As long as the saddle is used within the normal maximum limits on the rails this is perfectly suitable for XC use.
