SON SL Connection
As an alternative to the more or less robust and user-friendly plug-in connections on the hub dynamo, SON offers a particularly elegant solution: self-contacting. The contacts are the axial contact surfaces of the hub in the fork, on one side as a ground contact and on the other by insulated contact parts.
The fork has to be specially built for this, so the system is not suitable for retrofitting. For frame builders who build steel forks, we offer a wide range of dropouts and the associated contact parts. Some fork manufacturers can now supply aluminum forks with SL dropouts as standard
