At 30p each, this was a fantastic way to repair a few broken spokes on my 1975 Raleigh 3 speed. I measured the broken ones from the end of the threaded part to the beginning of the curve at the hub end and the replacements fitted perfectly. Wheel repaired and trued for 60p with some spare spokes left over

A spoke is a spoke, eh? Not really... Nipples can be drilled off centre, threads can be chewed from a worn tool or too small and the length can be too variable. The grade of stainless steel can be wrong on cheap spokes, too soft and stretchy. None of these problems apply to these British made spokes. Available in small sizes for Moultons and Bromptons and posted within a day, usually. The nipples are perfectly formed in brass. Comparing them to Sapim Leader spokes, it is very hard to spot any difference. Please note that the length is measured from the inside of the bend to the end and you should take account of this when measuring the spoke hole pitch circle diameter of your hub.

Bought these to build a new wheel for my Tern Link. Spokes this short seem to be rare, and reasonably priced ones even rarer.
They build up well, and the nipple threads seem decent, so they look pretty good so far. If they stand up to Swiss bike paths that will be great.

I've used these a number of times on various wheel builds, and they're fine. I've never had any fail, probably built 6 to 8 wheels with them so far. What more to say? They're spokes, quality is more than acceptable, and when properly built into a wheel they don't fail.

I have just purchased another 6 spokes to replace original inferior quality ones which had sheared on my electric bike rear wheel. At this rate I will have the whole wheel fitted with these British made ones. After a year none of the replacement spokes have failed.

I have two bikes one is a mountain bike which I race with and the other one is an electric bike. I had diffficultly getting hold of quality sopkes to replace two that had broken on my custom electric bike. Very happy to come across SJS and find exactly what I needed. Very good quality spokes. With electric bikes good strong spokes are essential. These do the job very well.

Very impressed with excellent product and service. Used to repair rear wheel on my Y Spark Electric Bike. These spokes are such good value I was able to order 12 correct length (128mm) after ordering 130mm by mistake. (I agree with anonymous: (some guidance on where the length is measured from/to would help novice spokers like us) I donated these to local cycle repair shop. Had been told by several other shops they were "not available" or would be prohibitively expensive as would have to be "custom made". British made too that's excellent.
That's me back on the road again.

I damaged a few spokes on a mountain bike wheel. Although it is not one of those 'top of the range wheels' but a good alrounder I didn't want to replace it with a new one. Finding the right size spokes in small quantities brought it back to life. So far I cannot comment on the durabilty of the spokes but I trust SJS cycles to offer good quality. I have never been disappointed with any of their products or with the service.

I have bought quite a few batches of these spokes in various lengths over the past few weeks as I am refurbishing some old Moulton bikes.

Great to be able to get these spokes in small qty's and in such a good variety of sizes. Only had one batch so far with any defects and by the time I spotted the malformed heads I was committed anyway. It won't affect the performance, just the look (amd even then only on close inspection).

Good value single butted stainless steel spokes. The finish isn't as good as DT spokes (i.e. they aren't polished), but that's a superfluous detail who's going to notice? Its good to be able to support a British firm. The option to buy small packs instead of the usual 50 minimum is a plus point. They are also available in a good range of lengths.

I've been using these spokes to lace electric hub motors into wheels, this requires non standard lengths which are difficult to find, not only have SJS always had the ones I need, but they are of good quality too. Spokes have a very hard life on an electric bike, yet to date not one has broken. Delivery is very fast, and their customer service is excellent too.

I always find getting the right length spoke a problem, some guidance on where the length is measured from/to would help novice spokers like myself. I am using with Atom Labs Torque Nipples to suit my rim. For those who don't know what plain gauge means it means the spoke is 2mm at ends and middle. You can buy butted spokes where the length is not uniform across the length (thinner in the middle to reduce weight) but these are said to be stronger.
