SJS Customer Service:
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry, you will be able to use this stem with your Cinelli bars only if they can be fitted to a stem with a 25.4mm clamp. If the clamp size is larger then it wont fit unfortunately.
Kind Regards

How is the length measured?

How is the 225mm length defined according to the stem geometry? I'd like to compare it with my existing quill stem which is too low.
Thanks.
Thanks.
SJS Customer Service:
Hello,
The measurement is measured from the top where it angles to the bottom where it angles to the bottom of the thread at the bottom.
Thanks.

Length of horizontal extension

Do the length options 50 to 120 refer to the length of the (almost) horizontal part of the stem rather than the vertical length?
Is the vertical length only available in 225mm?
Thanks
Is the vertical length only available in 225mm?

SJS Customer Service:
Yes, the length ranger refers to the forward extension measured centre to centre. There are 2 other HEIGHTS available see item # 27441 and 27443

Choosing The Right Height.

Hello!
What is the maximum length of this stem from the edge of a headset to the top? And how long is the shortest allowed part that must be inside the steering tube?
Is its "horizontal" part tends to be horizontal when installed on a road frame? Or it would be lower than the top? If so, how much lower? (if it matters: I own Coppi steel frame from 1980th with aprox. 72 degree steering tube.)
Thank you very much!!

Hi,
The overall height of this stem is 225mm, it allows for a minimum of 80mm to be in the frame and a maximum of 145mm to be above the headset. The extension part of the stem would sit slightly below horizontal, but not by as much as other stems, it would depend on the length to how much it dropped by.
Thanks.
