Details

- Threadless conversion for threaded forks allowing a larger range of modern stems to be fitted to older bikes
- Converts a 1 inch quill bike to accept 1 1/8 inch threadless stems
- Aluminium body, steel bolt
- Weight: 160 grams
- Total length = 135mm, 42mm at the top is for fitting 28.6mm ahead stem, the remaining 93mm can go inside your head-tube, the min insert mark is 73mm from the bottom.

Note: This is for a 1" (25.4mm) fork with a 22.2mm internal diameter.

Perfect Product - Give Life To Your Old Bike

Prosstrong, simple. reliable

This stem convertor is perfect. If you want to add new bars to your favourite old frame it's the only way to go. Stick it in the 1 inch threaded headset's hole and then clamp a shiny new stem to it. You get lots more choice with this setup and you don't have to remove the brakes every time you need to do a full service.

Is there a taper on this step up between the two diameters? Or is it a flat step?

I need this as flush as possible to the locking nut and therefore want it as flat as possible.

Hi, yes there is a taper of about 45 degrees. It will not fit flush with a lock nut. Thanks

hi can the Profile Design Stem Convertor 1 inch Quill to 1 1/8 inch Threadless have a added stem top cap or not thanks

You will need to use the provided top cap as it is designed to fit the larger bolt running through the adapter, you could fit another, but it would need to be the same dimensions.

Will This Fit Into A 25,4Mm Id Threaded Fork?

I suspect this fits the (B) type below.
(A) 1" OD/22mm ID
(B) 1 1/8 OD/ 25,4mm ID

This stem adapter has a OD of 22.2mm diameter which is designed to be fit to a 1" inch fork with an external diameter of 25.4mm.
