My favorite Brompton tyres

ConsSlightly slippy

ProsLively, robust

I've been riding (and racing) Bromptons for nearly 20 years - these are my favorite all round tyres. They are lively enough - they don't have that horrible dead feeling of the standard marathons - but pretty robust.
They aren't as fast as kojaks or primos, but neither of those are practical for riding daily.
I'm just coming up to 5,000km on my first pair and am here to buy another pair.
The back tyre has got a little bald in that time and today I noticed the sidewall was just starting to stretch a little, so replacement time.
Front tyre is fine, but due for replacement anyway.
I got one rear wheel puncture in that time.
The only thing I didn't like about them is they seem to be slightly slippier on wet metal than other tyres, but it's best to avoid that anyway...

Will these be a suitable replacement for my 38-349 tyres?

will it fit , 28 349 as a replacement and do you have tubes for it?

SJS Customer Service:

Hello, as these tyres are 35-349 and your existing tyres are 28-349 these will fit onto the rim, HOWEVER, they will be 7mm wider- as such you need to check with the rim manufacture asto the maximum tyre width they suggest.

For inner tubes:

Presta -SJS part:12129
Schrader- SJS part: 3860

Fitting on Rim

Can you tell me which of these 349 tyres are the easiest to fit on a Brompton rim. I have a kin lin rim and kojaks are almost impossible to fit - something which has a easier fitting would be helpful.

We tend to find the Marathon Racer or One tyre easiest to fit, but it is all down to technique.
