For a cheap tire these are superb, they came on a cheap mtb I bought 20 years ago. When I bought my next cheap bike I entered a few races and used one of these from the old bike on the front for more traction as I figured the 1.95 raider would grip more than the 2.1 kenda, it worked. That bike became a trainer and the tire stayed on for years.
Recently got back into mtb riding again and have the other old raider on the back. It grips almost as well as much more expensive tires on the rear and rolls much faster. Just did a cyclocross race but couldn't find the other tire so went with a fast fred up front which had no grip in the mud, my Maxxis Medusa would have been too slow on the tarmac.
I'm purchasing a 1.75 raider from here for the front as I believe a thinner tire will give better grip and even less rolling resistance. With a long lasting hard compound these so far are the best all round mtb tires I have used.

We have a lot of bikes (reclaimed from the recycle centre) that we lend to holiday let guests. These tyres are just the thing cheap and do the job well. Service was great too.
