I purchased two rims and two hubs from SJS, so it made sense to use them to build them ,so glad I did , lve used local bike shops to build wheels before and had spokes brake after a couple of days,these. Wheels are super nice and the quality stands out a mile, thanks sjs , recommended

I needed anew front wheel as the hub was damaged and this was the cheapest way I could find to get it done. I like the fact you can pick and choose the rim, hub, spokes and even rim tape to suit your needs. I took the opportunity to get a dynamo hub installed as it was something I had been toying with for a while for my commuter. I've had a Thorn bike before and the quality is as expected, very good. It would be a better service if there was more communications on the expected shipping date of the wheel based on the volume of orders at that time. Although the product was delivered in the times scales on the website I heard nothing from order to shipping. Some estimate of when it might be shipped would have been appreciated but product was great already done 200 miles on it

I must say, that the wheel is built absolutely perfect, not a fault to be seen. It even survived the trip to Denmark (besides from a hole in the box, where an axel had poked out).
My wheel was built with a Sturmey-Archer 3 speed IGH, it'll be perfect for my home-built commuter e-bike.

I submitted an order just before Christmas, hoping for the best. I needed a new wheel for the New Year. I emailed just after Christmas and received a prompt reply stating that the wheel builder was on holiday, so the build would be delayed but I would get priority when they returned. A few days later I received notice of dispatch and the wheel arrived promptly. Packing was excellent and the build quality was first class. Great job and all told I didn’t have to wait too long.
