I’m uncertain of how wheels are measured. Brompton front wheels are 16” but measure 14” rim to rim?

I was hoping to put a Brompton front wheel on my Bob trailer - but I notice they don’t have a quick release skewer?? Thanks in advance. Robin

SJS Customer Service:

16" is a rough measurement of the diameter including tyre. The most accurate is the Bead Seat Diameter - 349mm in Bromptons case.
These are 74mm width OLN, come with an allen key skewer.

This wheel is of sealed bearings, hollow shaft and red detail on the shaft?

SJS Customer Service:

Yes, the wheel is sealed bearing, has a quick release axle but the red details are only on the older models.
