High quality Brompton fitting front wheel which is lighter, stronger and faster than the original, a fantastic upgrade for your Brompton.

The spec:
Jtek 8mm axle, sealed bearing black alloy hub with allen key skewer built on to a black Sun CR18 ABT 349 rim with 14G black stainless steel spokes.
Our superlight front hub will fit Brompton front forks, it's 75grams lighter than the standard Brompton hub and has much lower rolling resistance.
The Sun CR18 rim has wear indicators & a Schrader drilled valve hole. This is a very high quality rim, with ABT (advance brake track) machined sidewall, with single eyelets. Overall width 22.4mm, inner well width 17mm. ERD - 340mm

Weight difference compared to stock front wheel (SJS part 3019): 104g Lighter!

Amazing weight saving from dynamo hub wheel

I recommend this product

I've managed to save a whopping 570g by replacing my front dynamo wheel with this one. Original weight was 1100g, this one is around 532g. Thanks

I bought this wheel as my brompton rims are now very worn. Does this wheel secure with quick release or do I use the same nuts as the old wheel?

This secures with the provided allen key skewer, however we find the SON skewer to be even better! SJS Cycles part number : 19064

The SJS build appears to be slightly lighter weight at 535g whereas the Brompton weighs in at approximately 600g.

Does it work with the below front wheel skewer?

The skewer supplied with the wheel doesn't allow for my custom frame hook, so I'm using the one I had in my dynamo hub. Would the hub on this wheel work with the below?

Is this front wheel compatible with an L type, with front mudguard anchor stay, tab washer etc?

This wheel is fine for use with an L type bike. The mudguard anchor stay and tab washer fit over the quick release spindle and are still clamped securely.
